Imperial War Museum

The Battle of Britain

Through the fantastic World War II exhibition at the Imperial War Museum, your child will experience The Battle of Britain. From the Spitfire hanging in the main atrium, they will be transported to the skies above the South Coast in the Summer and Autumn of 1940. They will learn all about the rise of Nazism, the devastation of Blitzkrieg, the dogfights between Spitfires and Messerschmitts, the Blitz and the experience of civilians during the Battle of Britain. The exhibition is the perfect blend of artefacts, film footage and photography.

A Clarendon Inspires mentor will arrive at the pick up address to give your children an Inspire session and drop your children off at the drop off address, where they will also give a Build session. Clarendon Inspires believes that it is important to invigorate the body, as well as the mind, so each Experience includes some activity time in the park (weather permitting).

Mentors

Joshua and his friend had a fabulous morning at the National Army Museum with Davy, who was very well prepared. Afterwards they went to Hyde Park playground and then played football. Joshua’s first words to me, “We had a great time”.
