Let Chloe share her passion of Ancient Egypt with a treasure hunt around the Ancient Egypt Exhibition at the British Museum.
About the Experience
This Experience will be led by Chloe, an Oxford archaeology and anthropology graduate. She will guide your child through a hand-illustrated ‘treasure hunt’ of Egyptian objects. Each object will form part of a story through which your child will learn about Ancient Egypt.
At the end of the Experience your child will have ‘found’ the ‘treasure’ and through this learnt about mummification, the formation of Ancient Egypt and Ancient Egyptian mythology.
It promises to be a fun filled and interactive Experience.
Understand the basic chronology of Ancient Egypt
Before your child embarks on their treasure hunt, Chloe will guide them through several artefacts, furnishing your child with a basic understanding of the chronology of Ancient Egypt.
Treasure hunt of artefacts from different periods in Ancient Egypt
Your child will be given a hand illustrated ’treasure hunt’ detailing several artefacts within the exhibition they need to find. These objects will help them to piece together an understanding of what life was like in Ancient Egypt.
What was life like in Ancient Egypt?
Once your child has found all the artefacts in the treasure hunt Chloe will discuss each artefact with your child, explaining their uses and what they can tell us about life in Ancient Egypt
