Rocket Building

This Experience combines the theoretical and the practical brilliantly. Your child will be introduced to Newton’s third law of motion and aerodynamics by a bright, budding physicist. They cover rocket design and the history of space travel. They will then build their very own rocket together, before taking it to the local park for its first flight. Like all good scientists, they will record various elements of this flight and discuss possible improvements.

A Clarendon Inspires mentor will arrive at the pick up address to give your children an Inspire session and drop your children off at the drop off address, where they will also give a Build session. Clarendon Inspires believes that it is important to invigorate the body, as well as the mind, so each Experience includes some activity time in the park (weather permitting).
