Westminster Abbey Museum
Westminster Abbey is one of England’s most notable religious building which boasts over 1000 years of history. Since William the Conqueror in 1066, all coronations of English and British monarchs have taken place here.
During this Experience, groups will visit the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries, which recently opened in 2018. This is a 13th Century gallery which was previously inaccessible to the public. The death masks of Henry VIII’s parents, copies of Magna Carta and Domesday Book, Elizabeth I’s corset, Henry V’s saddle – these are just some of the items which a mentor will explain to the children, bringing history to life in a way only possible via a Clarendon Inspires Experience.
A Clarendon Inspires mentor will arrive at the pick up address to give your children an Inspire session and drop your children off at the drop off address, where they will also give a Build session. Clarendon Inspires believes that it is important to invigorate the body, as well as the mind, so each Experience includes some activity time in the park (weather permitting).
